Here we have a 2015 Fender Custom Shop '59 Stratocaster Heavy Relic Daphne Blue. Basically NOS...never played until this guitar demo...kept in a private collection and now just photographed for sale.
The guitar is really exceptional and comes with all the original case candy that is unopened. Just set up, photographed and guitar demo provided by Nick Perri playing through a Fender Blues Junior amp.
Originally acquired from Sweetwater...this is what they had to say about it:
This Fender Custom Shop '59 Stratocaster is an undeniably cool solidbody electric guitar. Spec'd by Sweetwater with input from our customers, this guitar is a meticulously crafted fusion of a Heavy Relic body with Closet Classic hardware. On top of that, this superbly equipped Stratocaster gives you a TBX tone circuit, Clapton-style active boost, and modern Strat wiring. Simply put, this tonally flexible masterpiece sounds phenomenal! And if that wasn't enough, wrapping your hand around this Strat's unfinished mid-'60s oval "C" neck feels heavenly. You don't want to pass up this Fender Custom Shop '59 Stratocaster solidbody electric guitar!

Heavy Relic body with Closet Classic hardware
As you can imagine, a true '59 Stratocaster would show signs of wear and tear, and this Fender Custom Shop '59 Stratocaster is finished to represent those years of playing. The worn finish on this guitar's body and neck will make you wonder if it really isn't a true vintage instrument. And this Strat's Closet Classic hardware shows just enough tarnish to make it feel broke in. This Custom Shop '59 Stratocaster is sure to please even the pickiest of guitar lovers.
Vintage '60s pickups deliver classic Strat tone
As much as it might resemble a museum piece, there's no doubt about it - this Fender Custom Shop solidbody electric guitar was made to be played. Not only that, but it's designed to give you the real sound of a vintage Stratocaster. That's why the Fender Custom Shop designed a special model of vintage-inspired pickups. These incredible pickups not only re-create the sound, but also the dynamic response an original vintage Strat. You simply won't find a more spot-on re-creation than this Custom Shop '59 Stratocaster.
TBX tone control and modern switching provide a full range of classic sounds
The original Strat had three single coil pickups, so it was able to produce sounds that no other guitar could deliver, particularly once players discovered they could lodge the three-position blade switch in those "in-between" positions to access neck / middle and bridge / middle pickup combinations. These were often erroneously referred to as the "out-of-phase" settings. This Fender Custom Shop '59 Stratocaster comes standard with a modern five-way blade switch, making it easy to access all the pickup combinations, but then adds a special active midrange boost on one tone control to give this guitar the extra "meat" you might expect from a Humbucker. In addition, the second tone knob functions as a standard Fender TBX master tone control, which can smoothly go from bright and glossy to dark and smoky by rolling off the highs!
